About the event
Are you struggling to create connections among your workforce? Feeling hindered by combinations of
in-person and virtual workplace dynamics? Unsure of how you will create bonds and increase cultural
engagement?
The COVID pandemic and rising conversations around diversity and inclusion issues have forced us to
look at inequities embedded in modern society, tying into larger conversations about race, ethnicity,
discrimination, and institutionalized racism. Reflecting on the wide gaps that separate us, it is crucial that we create space for conversations devoted to discovering deeper connections, building bridges, and learning about each other’s lives to create a safe, healthy, and inclusive environment for everyone. This session will provide participants with some tools to engage in a cultural self-examination, build a greater understanding and appreciation of diversity, improve empathy, boost productivity, and teach methods for going beyond acceptance to develop lasting cultural engagement.
This program is part of The Cultural Engagement Playbook®, an innovative diversity and inclusion
training program developed out of the University of Pittsburgh.
